This is a private collection of RARE LARGE VINTAGE GORHAM MUSICAL DOLLS FROM THE 1980'S. They are all pre-owned and sold "as is." For additional information please call our Customer Service Department at 888-828-6264.
The Gorham dolls have bisque faces in the famouse Bru Jumeau styles. They are antique reproductions dressed in designs based on the Paris fashions of the mid 1800s. The Gorham China Company carefully selected the fabrics and accessories to make every doll an individual. And then they added music. There is a delightful 18 note musical movement in each doll, the tune chosen to reflect his or her personality. Every doll wears the famous Gorham "G" on a finely detailed bracelet. In addition, the signature is hallmarked on the dolls neck in the manner of 19th century manufacturers. Each doll is an exclusive. They have been made with the attention to detail, fine quality, value and style that you have come to expect from the name Gorham.

Julia measures approximately 18" tall and is dressed in an elaborately decorated blue satin dress with Victorian era style. Beige and antique white lace adorn the dress. Her hat is absolutely exquisite and has an elastic band to hold it in place. She has leather shoes with pearls and stockings in lace. Her self winding music box places "The Look of Love" and was tested to make sure it plays correctly (the winding mechanism is located on her upper back underneath her dress). She is in excellent condition (except for a small glue stain on the toe of one shoe) and has been in storage in her original box for a majority of her life. She was displayed in a glass fronted cabinet for approximately one year in 1985.
- Julia is a Gorham Collection; is made of the finest porcelain and is hand painted.
- Julia's arms, legs, face and neck area are all made of porcelain.
- Julia's body is made of cloth, not porcelain.
- She wears a Golden bracelet with the letter "G" (Gorham) as a charm.
- She is a very collectible doll because the Gorham Company no longer makes dolls.
- Gorham stopped making dolls in 1994 and this doll is minted in 1985.
- Julia has only had one owner and was in a smoke free air conditioned home since 1985 ~ 26 years!!!
- She comes with her original Brown box (shows some wear but not terrible). Check photos for condition.
- Includes a sturdy doll stand with wooden dark stained round base.
- * The photo show a key included for winding the music box. This was photographed by mistake. Julia has a
self winding music box. The Key was actually for a different doll. Sorry for any confusion.
